Dig into authentic homemade Syrian Christian delicacies prepared by the host, including specialties such as nutmeg juice, or choose to bring your own and make it a picnic with friends and family. Either way, the free-spirited outdoor ambience is yours to unwind. So eat, drink, celebrate life, and enjoy on the lawns or take a stroll through the nutmeg plantation, without traveling far from the urban towns of Cochin and Alleppey.
The host is an amazing home baker, and guests can pre-order high quality, safe and delicious customized cakes in advance.
This is an outdoor-only private ambience. Guests do not have access to indoors. The outdoor ambience comes with a private outdoor gazebo, classily built for you to bask in the lap of nature while eating delicious ancestral homemade recipes. The lawns surrounding the gazebo and the structure itself, are set against the backdrop of a 350-year-old heritage home, one of the oldest active heritage homes in Kerala. Guests can avail of a complimentary private tour of the heirlooms, attic, and cellar in use, upon special request to the host.
The food includes authentic Syrian Christian dishes, as well as continental. the host is a popular baker, and guests can pre-order their lovely cakes and desserts, apart from those already part of the set menu.
Activities include fishing in the ponds, exploring the vast nutmeg plantation and a very special wine-tasting session of homemade nutmeg wine.

We hosted our office Onam celebration at De Nutmeg Villa in Thycattussery, we received a warm welcome from Maria and Benson. They served us a delightful Onam sadya at their charming gazebo and enjoyed some quality time in the beautiful outdoor lawn area. The homemade Onam sadya and the welcome drink was refreshingly delicious. We were captivated by the history of the house and the family that has cherished it for generations. It was a delight to take advantage of a family's hospitality on our most recent visit to Thykattussery. We liked the setting, the host, and the cuisine. The location's historical significance was quite alluring. While we were there, we felt at home. When my friends need a break from the city, I will tell them to use this location. You can stroll or play a game of checkers. You can use the entire day. Sadly, they don't offer accommodations.
